ECE473/573 (ETCP) Assignment 8
Program 1 (20pts.)
Recall the class demonstrations on how to set up ESP8266 to run micro Python
and how to transfer and then run programs on it. Do the following
- Reprogram firmware of your both boards to run micro Python
- Rewrite the shimmering LED demo into a stand-alone program that shimmers the LED upon running
- Setup uPyCraft or PyCharm connected to your ESP8266 with meaningful info
such as a partial listing of your source code and, if possible, freshly booted up system console
- Alternatively, you can show:
- PuTTY with connected ESP8266 uPy UART console just after pasting your code and typing command to execute it.
- WebREPL or disconnected mpfshell still showing the recent file transfer of your program (not covered in class).
- Capture a very short movie, say some five seconds, that shows you starting the program
and the board responding to your command by showing it's LED coming alive.
Submission
Save and submit that very short movie. Submit that file on Canvas.
